stage of the lifecycle that they are in.
IndiaCo offers the following
array of services to its portfolio companies.
1) Intellectual Property Management
The development of the knowledge economy has impacted
significantly the social importance of Intellectual
Property Rights (IPR).
IndiaCo is distinctive in its ability to assist in all
phases of intellectual property management including
assessment and preparation of intellectual property
until commercial existence.
IndiaCo provides assistance in preparation of technology
and market assessment reports to technology developers,
exploiters, potential investors, financial institutions
and enterprises across global markets so as to ascertain
appropriate technology transfer mechanisms.
IndiaCo also provides assistance in writing and filling
of Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights, Industrial Designs
and Geographical Indications to start-ups. IndiaCos
dedicated team of legal and technical writers and partners
at the center will guide prospects through this process
of intellectual property management in a three dimensional
perspective (Customer, Market, Value) so as to optimize
potential commercial value for the technology.
2) Technology Commercialization
IndiaCo provides the necessary platform required to
commercialize technologies from the research institutes
in India. For technologies developed in laboratories
to percolate to manufacturing firms and finally to the
consumer level requires secure IP transfer between the
involved parties.
IndiaCo facilitates efficient and secure technology
transfer between the two parties by establishing strategic
collaborations between technology developers and the
producers who finally lead them to the potential end
users. IndiaCo also provides assistance in scaling up
of laboratory research to help validate the commercial
viability of the proposed enterprise. This process is
critical to the success of technology commercialization
where successful validation of the process/product at
a viable cost is a prelude to further negotiations.
The customer (or transferee of technology) also reduces
the risk factor making it easier for them to make the
investment decision.
Furthermore, IndiaCo facilitates resource transmission
at the incubation center, assists in raising capital
and aids in resource mobilization and the efficient
allocation for the same.
3) Joint/Contractual Research and Development
IndiaCo aggressively markets the skill sets available
within its network to facilitate and promote joint/contractual
research and development programs. In case of a successful
set up of joint research groups between the organizations,
IndiaCo would provide infrastructure and laboratory
support to such groups.
4) Business Development
IndiaCos market assessment team assists in determining
potential users (technology licensees) of technology
providing an overview to the researcher as to the relative
valuation of the technology in the marketplace. The
assessment process will focus in depth on the nature
of application areas, global addressable market size,
competitive landscape and targeted customer demographics.
Based on these factors, a recommended marketing and
pricing strategy would be proposed by the IndiaCo team
of academic and industrial experts along with a detailed
profile of identified key exploiters.
5) Assistance in Raising Capital
IndiaCo works with early stage technologies with an
aim to identify suitable commercial partners from public
and private sectors across global markets.
IndiaCo provides assistance in scaling up of laboratory
research to help validate the commercial viability of
the proposed enterprise. This process is critical to
the success of technology commercialization where successful
validation of the process/product at a viable cost is
a prelude to further negotiations. The customer (or
transferee of technology) also reduces the risk factor
making it easier for them to make the investment decision.
Further, IndiaCo provides end-to-end assistance in
execution of projects facilitating Intellectual Property
Management, Market Assessment, and Preparation of Business
Plan and raising capital from a network of angel investor
and venture capital firms.
